Golang Job: Solutions Engineer

SUMMARY

Kidoz is the leading COPPA & GDPR compliant contextual mobile advertising network. We’re growing fast, and are looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a Solutions Engineer, your role is to work with our business development and sales teams to understand a prospective partner’s technical and business challenges, and then work with our ad operations, programmatic, and engineering teams to perform the integrations in conjunction with the prospective partner.

To accomplish this, the Solutions Engineer must have strong engineering skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communications skills, an interest in regular interactions with new partners via video, slack, and email, a strong desire to solve problems, and the interest and capability to read, understand, and then work with 3rd party technical documentation to perform the integration.

This is a full-time, work from home position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Become the technical subject-matter expert for how Kidoz products and services work with respect to how they connect with 3rd party systems;
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to 3rd parties;
• Consistently communicate with decision-makers internally to raise any issues or blocks that could interfere with timely integrations;
• Collaborate with the business development, sales, ad operations, programmatic, dashboard and back-end programming teams, to understand product functionality and integration requirements and vision, and then implement programming solutions with 3rd party systems;
• Excellent problem-solving and effective communication;
• Participate in daily standup meetings, provide updates on work progress and results. participate in review of requirements and designs;
• Be familiar with COPPA and GDPR compliance requirements where necessary;
• Provide insight into effectiveness and functionality of current toolsets, and suggestions for how to improve them;
• Ability to meet deadlines and shifting priorities;
• Able to work effectively in fast-paced environment with both long and short development cycles and manage multi-tasking across several projects;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Ramp up quickly on new technologies and engines as required by particular project;
• Interact professionally with team members;
• Deliver and receive performance feedback in a mature manner

• Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions as the Supervisor or Company shall from time to time issue;
• Devote the whole of your time, attention and abilities to the Company's affairs during business hours;
• Use best practice to promote, protect, develop and further the interests of the Company and the group companies, if applicable;
• Keep the Supervisor at all times promptly and fully informed (in writing if so requested) of the Employee's conduct of the business of the Company and provide such explanations in that connection as the Supervisor or Company may require;
• Familiarize yourself and comply with any HR and corporate policies, procedures and rules, that the Company may issue from time to time; and;
• Ensure the Company always has the most up to date records for personal details and emergency contact details including, address and telephone numbers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of industry experience in software development. Previous work in mobile advertising or other related industries is a plus. Previous work as a Solutions Engineer is a plus;
• Working experience with JavaScript/TypeScript;
• Solid understanding of HTML5/CSS3;
• Backend/full stack experience in PHP, NodeJS, GoLang;
• Experience with traffic analysis tools like Fiddler or Charles.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman/Nightingale
• Enthusiasm for Automated testing, Test Driven Development and SOLID design principles;
• Enthusiastic about learning new platforms and programming languages;
• Familiarity with github flow and continuous integration workflow & concepts;
• Adaptability to client and peer feedback and applying to processes;
• Good verbal and written communication skills across multiple audiences;
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment;
• Self-directed and results-driven;
• Resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated.;
• Familiarity with Google Docs, Slack, Jira, and other common agile development tools;

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $80,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
